FAQ's

1) For what type of events can the Chocolate Fountains be used?

The Chocolate Fountain has been used at the following events: Weddings, Banquets, Proms, Business Luncheons, Corporate Events, Conventions, Bridal Showers, Baby Showers, or just about any occasion you want to make an impression.

2) How many people does a Chocolate Fountain serve?

Our base Chocolate Fountain rental will serve up to 100 guests, and additional chocolate is available for purchase at .50 per person to satisfy an unlimited number of guests.

3) How much Chocolate do you provide?

Our package includes up to 12 pounds of White, Milk, or Dark Chocolate. However, if an event may require more chocolate, we are able to provide additional chocolate at a charge of .50 per guest.

4) How long is the Chocolate Fountain set up?

Our package includes the use of the Chocolate Fountain for 2 hours. This does not include set-up and tear down. Additional time maybe purchased at a cost of 50.00 per hour.

5) What are the most popular dipping items for a Chocolate Fountain?

You can use Strawberries, Marshmallows, Pretzel Rods, Biscotti, most Fruits imaginable, or anything that goes with chocolate?

6) What Items are not recommended for dipping?

Anything that will crumble or easily break apart. For example, crumb cake is not recommended or allowed to be used in the Chocolate Fountain. These kinds of items will compromise the smooth, flowing stream of Chocolate.

7) Do you provide the items for dipping?

We have found that many caterers or facilities do not allow outside vendors to provide food items, therefore we can only provide the fountain with chocolate.

8) Can the Chocolate Fountain be used outside?

The Chocolate Fountain operates best in a temperature controlled area. The Chocolate Fountain must be kept at a certain temperature to ensure the integrity of the chocolate, therefore the uncontrollable temperature and weather is not recommended for the outside use of the Chocolate Fountain. In addition, bugs love chocolate as well as people do.

9) What is the Size of the Chocolate Fountain?

We are proud to feature SEPHRA chocolate fountains, the top rated chocolate fountains in the business. We have sizes ranging from 28" for events of 200 guests or below, to 34" for events over 200 guests. The larger fountain can be used at an additional cost for events under 200 guests. Our fountains have handled events up to 1500 people.

10) What are the requirements for Set-up Time, Electrical, Table, and Linens?

We like to have access to the facility one hour before the arrival of any guests for Set-up of the Chocolate Fountain. The Chocolate Fountain requires a 120 volt grounded electrical outlet within 10 feet of the Chocolate Fountain location. The facility or yourself will need to provide us with at least one level and sturdy table. You may want to provide linens to coordinate the linens with your colors of your event.

11) My budget is tight, can I order less chocolate than the number of guests I'm expecting for my event, because maybe everyone won't have the chocolate fountain?
We STRONGLY recommend that you do not try this, as it could be embarassing both to you as the host, and us as a business to run out of chocolate in the middle of an event. We must be prepared to serve your full number of guests for your event.

12) My event last 4 hours, but I only want the fountain for 2 hours, can I do this?
Absolutely, however, as similar to the above question, you must be prepared that breaking down the fountain is a complicated process that your guests will see, however, it is not a problem.

13) Are Chocolate Fountains messy?

Yes they are!! Or they can be, just remember that it is chocolate, and people drip and drop, but that's part of the fun and charm. However, Triad Chocolate Fountains is not responsible for drapes, tablecloth's, floors, carpets, small animals, children, plants, furniture, driveways, tie's, dresses, shoes, beards, hair....whew!!!
